Samuel Joseph (Jodie) married Cora May Allred in Mesa, Arizona on the 30th of September in 1896.
Cora May was born on the 20th of August in 1877 in Ophir, Tooele County, Utah to a pioneer mormon family. She was one month short of her 19th birthday when she got married. Jodie was a year older than Cora May.

The other bride is Mary Mabel Allred who is the sister of Cora May.
The other groom was James Francis Johnson. James and Jodie shared the same grandfather (Benjamin Franklin Johnson) but they came through different wives.
This makes James and Jodie cousins.
Mabel and James were only 17 years old at the time of their marriage.
