Grandpa Johnson (James Gerald Sr.) always wore a cowboy hat. It was always cocked to one side. He would put it on and the side he put it on from was always lower than the other side. One side was always a little more "rolled" than the other one was, as seen in the photo below.
I have not been able to identify where the photo was taken. One possibility could be Hassayampa Creek where Grandpa and Grandma would go to pan for gold. They loved panning for gold the old fashion way and did find quite a bit before Grandma passed away in 1969.
