A 4-Generation Photo

This is a four-generation photo with James Gerald Johnson Jr. being the baby in the photo.  He is being held by his great paternal grandmother Susan Elvira Martineau Johnson.  On the right side of the picture is Samuel Joseph Johnson who was Susan Elvira Martineau's son and to the left is James Gerald Johnson Sr. (Bud) who is Samuel Joseph Johnson's son.

Samuel Joseph Johnson

Samuel Joseph Johnson was Susan Elvira Martineau's son.  

Samuel Joseph was call Jodie.  Jodie was a very large name known for his size and strength.  

In the above picture we have young Jodie with his dad, Benjamin Samuel Johnson and his mom, Susan Elvira Martineau.  Samuel Joseph or Jodie is the larger boy standing in the back.  Jodie's brother John Henry and sister Susan Wilmirth are also in this picture.

James Gerald Johnson Sr.

The 3rd generation leads us to James Gerald Johnson Sr.  James Gerald Johnson Sr. was known as Bud to his family and friends.  Bud was born at the turn of the century in 1899 and is pictured below.
