When Dad (Gerald Turley) was Bishop, we made a lot of trips to Groom Creek. Ted Bond, the person that oversaw the building of the new chapel, lived out there. Also, Dad would visit members of the church that lived out there in the little community of Groom Creek.
On one of those trips, Dad stopped to lets us do some climbing. We must have made this trip on a Sunday because we are in our Sunday clothes. When we were little this was a really big hill. The hill is still there but it was shrunk quite a bit over the years.
Dad always liked bright dresses for Mom (Dora Johnson);
blue and red seemed to be his favorite colors.
Here is Mom up on the hill. I bet climbing that hill in heels was quite the fun!
