more PHS friends

Kathy served as an escort for the 1972 graduation at PHS (Prescott High School).  

Kathy took a few photos with some of her friends who were graduating.  

In the first two photos, Kathy is standing with David Welch.  

David was one of Grant's really good friends was the smartest person Grant ever knew.  

David was an amazing person and his life was cut short in an auto accident 

after he had graduated from NAU.

In the photo below, David is standing with his high school girlfriend, Sally Cheek.
Sally was a pom-pom girl at PHS.
Both David and Grant worked for Mr. Cheek, Sally Cheek's father.
David became a civil engineer like Mr. Cheek.
Mr. Cheek took David under his wing as an adopted son and
he probably would have left his business to David if he had not passed away so early in life.
Mr. Cheek was one of Dad's (Gerald Turley) really good friends from high school.
Dad spent many nights at Mr. Cheek's house when he did not hitchhiked home after football practice.
Mr. Cheek was a Navy fighter pilot while Dad served in the Army Air Corp during World War II.   

Ron Tenney and Vicki Norton were some of Kathy's Mormon friends in high school.
Ron and David were best friends in school.
However, Vicki and David ended up liking each other
which became awkward since they all were friends.

They were part of the choir group which Kathy was also a member of in high school.

I'm not sure who Kathy's friend is in this photo.
