Kathy's PHS friends

Kathy is standing next to her good friend, Terry Shepherd.  

Terry's arms have quite the bandage on them. 

Why are her arms bandaged? 

Well, Terry was involved in an accident where she fell off the top of Thumb Butte.  

She was injured but always felt she was lucky to be alive.  

Terry was a cheerleader with Kathy from junior high all the way through high school.

Patti Lord was another of Kathy's good friends.
Patti was unique because she had a Latina mom and an American father who was an engineer.
Patti's first language was Spanish and
she wrote to Grant while he was on his mission in Argentina.
