The sun is in our eyes

In this cropped photo, you can see by the faces we are all making that the sun was in our eyes.
Well, either the sun is in our eyes or we were all suppose to make strange faces since our facial expressions are strange or stranger than normal.  The new changes to the front yard are the trees that Dad planted.  The planter is now finished and has flowers in it.  You might remember an earlier post of Ray swimming in the muddy water.  Well, those bricks have been turned into the planter.  The house you can see to the west of our house belonged to the Brimdamars (spelling).  They were an old couple with no children.  She was confined to a wheelchair.  They were very nice to us kids.

l to r - Kathy, Ray, Grant, LaRee and Carolyn.  I would guess that it is the first day of school with all the girls having their hair in curls.  Gerry would be old enough at this time to be in Junior High School with the rest of us, other than Ray who was too young, going to the brand new elementary school, Taylor Hicks.
