The kids at Papa Turley's funeral

Melissa and G.T. have great memories of their Papa.  Those memories include buying donuts on Saturday when they would go into the office to "work".  They would buy a dozen donuts but they would arrive at the office with only 10 donuts.  We could never figure out how they would lose 2 donuts on the way back to the office and then we would allow them to each eat another donut when they arrived at the office.

G.T. and Papa would get in trouble with Grandma because they would make stuff from the junk in the trash can instead of working.  That is how G.T. acquired the nickname of Trash Can Turley.

Due to Chrissy's young age, she does not have the same kinds of memories of Papa.

Papa Turley died in 1993 after serving a mission with Grandma in the Seattle, Washington Mission.  While serving there, he was diagnosed with ALS.  He finished his mission, came home, lived about a half a year and then passed away.  It was a hard time for the family.  Here is a picture of them with Pappa in the casket with the flag, which he loved so much, at his head.

Melissa would be 15 years old, G.T. would be 11 years old and Chrissy would be 3 years old.
