Prescott will always be our hometown. It was a great place to be raised. There were so many things to do but not so many ways for us to get into much trouble. This picture is coming into Prescott from the east down Bullwhacker Pass. The Resort would sit on top of the hill to the right of the picture. How things have changed with time.
Downtown Prescott looking west down Gurley Street. Thumb Butte is on seem on the skyline. What is interesting in this pictue is the Elk on top of the Elk's Theater building. The Elk's Theater is where we would go to watch movies and then later it became where Miss Pearl would have her dance recitals. The big bronze statue of the Elk is now in Prescott Valley at the Elk Lodge. I think they should have left it in Prescott but they did not ask my opinion.
