Grandma Dora Turley was at the end of her life in this picture.
After breaking her arm at the chiropractor office, she was diagnosed with cancer. This was the second time in her life that the doctors had made this particular diagnosis. We had thought she had won her battle with cancer about 15 years prior when she was diagnosed with colon cancer. However, this time it was lung cancer. While she was diagnosed with lung cancer, the cancer had spread into many other places and forms within her body which eventually led to her death.
Before Grandma Turley passed away she wanted to have her picture taken with her grandchildren. Here she is with Grant and Pearl's children minus one, Mikkel. Pearl was pregnant with Mikkel at the time these pictures were taken. Mikkel never met Grandma Turley in this life but we are sure he met her on the other side because of the way he walked when he was little. We were sure that Grandma had taught him how to walk because he did not swing his arm (just one) when he walked.
Melissa would have been 19, G.T. would have been 14, and Chrissy would have been 7 years old at the time of this picture. Mom looked really great in her purple dress in these picture with her grandchildren.
